Energy Saving Implementation in Hydraulic Press Using Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

With the growing cost of electrical energy, necessity energy-saving implementation in industries based on energy audits has become a major focus area. Energy audit results indicate potential an application and require physical presence auditor’s team for monitoring analyzing consumption data. The use Industrial Internet Things (IIoT) remote data analysis is new industrial applications IIoT are being developed used by various sectors. Possibilities mixed method using its advantages as proposed this research work needs to be explored. Existing hydraulic press machines running with direct online starter (DOL) can run variable speed drive (VSD) saving but requires extensive audit. Key operational parameters pump motor were monitored analyzed remotely operating DOL VSD control methods one one. input power factor showed improvement from 0.79 0.9 at different loads. starting current reduction 84% control. motor’s continuous was reduced 40% 65% during loading unloading cycle, respectively, Electrical 24% result 35 Hz without impacting performance press. These indicated more efficient changing comparison A combination performed framework utilized implementing presses thus motivating adopt available energy-efficient technologies faster pace.
